We have funded all sorts of humanitarian projects. In 2006 we want to complete something very ambitious. We want to set up a Hospice Programme covering the entire territories bordering the Chernobyl Radiation Zone. This means building a hospice, paying medical staff and counselors, providing transport. It is putting together the entire structure of a hospice, buildings, home support services, bereavement counseling.. We have been working with local doctors and volunteers in Gomel for the past two years. They are good people and we have developed a level of trust that overcomes the language and cultural differences. Now is the time to deliver and make something really worthwhile happen.
