A whole generation of British people found this quite funny (this being the first "ITV Schools" series, the second "Tomorrow's World" series was a disappointment) as it's a not entirely inaccurate description of "Television for Schools and Colleges" as broadcast by BBC 1 and ITV during school hours (Channel 4 wasn't out cak then and BBC 2 carried the Open University) This programme is in the 70s Secondary Schools style yet it's familiar to me who attended high school in the mid to late 90s due to the school having had a VCR back then and reusing the ancient copy, not surprising considering our A-Level Chemistry text books dated from back then as well. Underfunding really comes home to you when the text book you're taking notes from is older than you.
