March 1, 2006 5:30 p.m Community leaders, members of public safety agencies from throughout the Valley, city employees and Glendale residents joined the Glendale Police Department to swear in Steven Conrad as its next Police Chief. In 2005, the city of Glendale conducted an extensive national recruitment process to find a new Chief of Police. On Nov. 18, the city announced Steven Conrad of the Louisville Police Department as its next chief. Chief Conrad began his duties with the department on Wednesday, Dec. 28. This ceremony formally recognized him as the Glendale Chief of Police.
