In Part 2, Dr. Vivian discusses the Every Church A Peace Church movement and where the Christian church should stand in times of war and state violence: “Fundamental Christianity is love, truth, and justice. We must challenge every minister to preach it and be willing to pay the price that comes from preaching it in the face of a nation that wants to go to war” This episode also provides a discussion of the links between the peace movement with the southern black freedom struggle: “We must go from war being a normal thing to where the Christian church and Christians will not allow it to exist.”
