The O'Reilly Factor is both tabloid and racist. The show spends the most time on 1) celebrity and 2) negative stories involving minorities. The tabloid part eats up minutes so as to avoid covering real news. The race part is to scare its loyal audience much like the GOP uses the southern strategy.

BRIT HUME DOESN'T GET MUSLIMS
Brit Hume just can't seem to grasp why Muslims are so mad about the US invasion of Iraq but were okay with the US invasion of Afghanistan. What I can't seem to understand is how he gets away with making such outrageous statements. Especially coming from Hume and Fox News who invoke 9/11 at every opportunity for political gain. If Hume really gave a damn about 9/11 he'd also find a difference between the two situations.

Pentagon orders Americans back to Iraq after their 1-year tour of duty ends
ABC News reports that the Pentagon has ordered hundreds of Americans who had already served their 1-year tour of duty, back to Iraq to serve for several more months because the situation in Baghdad and several other parts of the country has gotten much worse. Many of the soldiers had just gotten home and were celebrating with their families, when they were ordered back into the middle of the bloody civil war that rages on. Others had not even made it home yet, and were on the way home when they were ordered to turn around.

Look at what Republican Controlled Congress has done
Every single example of Congress screwing over the middle class mentioned in this CNN report was supported by Republicans and opposed by Democrats. Democrats opposed the Republican cuts in student loans, Democrats opposed Republican trade regulations that are bad for American workers, Democrats opposed the harmful Republican bankruptcy bill, and opposed the Republican's fake minimum wage bill. Democrats want a real minimum wage increase with no strings attached to benefit super-rich people like Paris Hilton. Oh and the "Cheeseburger bill" was also opposed by Democrats, as was the Terri Shaivo debacle, and the Congressional pay raise too. All of these things were made up by Republicans and all of them were opposed by Democrats. Republican-controlled Congress has only a 25% approval rating and they've done enough damage to America: it's time for change this November.
