Racists attack protesters at anti-Minutemen demonstration in Fremont -- All Out July 28th!
Anti-Minutemen protesters were violently attacked by members of the East Bay Coalition for Border Security last Friday, July 14, all while the cops stood idly by and instead arrested a young woman protester and charged her with allegedly taking one of the racist's airhorn. Video of the assault is attached (approx. 30 seconds). We will be back in Fremont to confront these bigots on July 28, to stand up for immigrants in the Bay Area and let these bigots know that we won't be intimidated -- join us!

Independence Day in New Orleans
On July 4, residents of the St. Bernard Public Housing Project planned to storm the barbed-wire fences and reoccupy their condemned homes. But the powers that be are finally willing to negotiate. Truthout correspondents Chris Hume and L. Wild Horse were at St. Bernard's for the first Independence Day since Hurricane Katrina.

He is a very compelling speaker and the highest level CIA officer to testify to the Congress about his actions. He estimates that over 6 million people have died in CIA covert actions, and this was in the late 1980's.
Dennis Banks: Sacred Run
Dennis Banks, co-founder of American Indian Movement, organized the first Sacred Run across the country 28 years ago. The run is a staggered event that covers the country by foot between February 11 and April 22, ending in Washington, DC, on Earth Day. This year's closing ceremony was held at the Lincoln Memorial. Along the way, the core group of runners was joined intermittently by other walkers and runners. Banks has always been accompanied by Buddhist monks from the Nipponzan Myohoji sect.
