Karl Rove is largely credited for the political prosecution of innocent Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman who remains in prison today. When I got a chance to meet Rove I presented him with a little surprise.
The mainstream media has silenced anti-war voices from the start and continues to do so today.
NBC recently changed their own rules in order to kick Dennis Kucinich out of the upcoming January 15th Democratic debate in Las Vegas. Is NBC parent company GE afraid of his anti-war message? Also, Chris Matthews is a hypocrite.
The O'Reilly Factor is both tabloid and racist. The show spends the most time on 1) celebrity and 2) negative stories involving minorities. The tabloid part eats up minutes so as to avoid covering real news. The race part is to scare its loyal audience much like the GOP uses the southern strategy.
Is O'Reilly's marriage on the rocks? I don't know, but if I were Jennifer Aniston I would be going into hiding.
The Tao of Big Wave Surfing is a mashup of philosophical quotes from surfing legend Laird Hamilton. The mashup derives entirely from the single episode of Iconoclasts which airs on the Sundance Channel. Hamilton shares the screen with the great Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. The background song is Big Wave off of Pearl Jam's latest.
Is there anything more insidious than one making $$$$ off complaining about the smut they produce? Yes, also comparing crusade against own smut to that of troops fighting abroad. Sick.
Brit Hume just can't seem to grasp why Muslims are so mad about the US invasion of Iraq but were okay with the US invasion of Afghanistan. What I can't seem to understand is how he gets away with making such outrageous statements. Especially coming from Hume and Fox News who invoke 9/11 at every opportunity for political gain. If Hume really gave a damn about 9/11 he'd also find a difference between the two situations.
There was plenty to complain about on Fox's Teen Choice Awards which aired Sunday. And we don't just mean K-Fed. That said, should Fox be fined under the new Decency Law signed by President Bush 2 months ago?
Edited (ie. shorter clip, 3:12) Jon Stewart interview of Middle East expert Reza Aslan on Monday August 21, 2006. Reza caps an already good interview with this line: What matters in this region is perception, this war especially between Israel and Hezbollah was a war of perception...this is basically a marketing campaign, the entire war on terror is, at its core, a marketing campaign.
Mash-up of the ridiculous, propaganda filled, short speech President Bush gave on the tarmac at the Green Bay airport in Wisconsin last week.
MASHUP EVIDENCING A PLETHORA OF REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR JOE LIEBERMAN IN TOMORROW'S PRIMARY.
President Bush's words rarely match his actions. And this mashup about Gitmo is no exception. Some just call it lying.
World War was such a tragic period in the history of mankind the world collectively swore never again. But here we are, a mere 60 years later with a couple of genocides already at our backs, and grown men are calling for WWIII. This is so grotesque that no words can describe these reprehensible people. This short video tries to put these neocon desires in perspective. I will post a much more comprehensive video mashup on the subject tomorrow.
Amy Sedaris was discussing her new movie Strangers with Candy with Stephen Colbert when the two stood up and began "tumbling".
For a straight shooter President Bush is one hard man to follow. Tonight's appearance on Larry King was no exception. This mashup tries to clarify.
The cost of the Iraq war was at least $315.8 billion as of May 8, 2006. This works out to $2,379 per taxpayer. The Pentagon currently estimates it spends $6.8 billion per month in Iraq excluding money for equipment. Brain injuries are occurring at an unprecedented rate in Iraq - almost twice as high as Vietnam. Researchers are already estimating the cost of these injuries will top $14 billion over the next 20 years. With this backdrop, it seems that spending $71 to $99 to upgrade our soldiers helmets to help protect them from brain injuries not only makes economic sense but moral sense. Yet, Operation Helmet has been raising money for years to provide our troops with upgrade kits. Recently the visibility of Operation Helmet has been raised by hollywood liberal celebrity Cher who, in addition to giving her time, has contributed more than $130,000 to the cause. Kudos to Cher and Operation Helmet but there is something very very wrong with this picture. Worse, President Bush continues to state that he will do whatever it takes to properly equip our troops. A true patriot.
