his is the official trailer for Michael Moore's upcoming health care documentary "SiCKO," in theaters everywhere June 29th.
Rudy takes a phone call on his weekly Mayor's radio show, but the caller isn't too happy that Giuliani has cut off public aid and medicine assistance to disabled New Yorkers.
A short compilation of Administration officials on whether or not we're winning the war in Iraq. They seem to have a problem with mixed messages.
The following video was uploaded to another YouTube user's account. The College Republicans who uploaded it later removed the video. The video depicts College Republicans bragging about harassing a young Democrat at a Republican event. The video was posted to conservative blog RedState, for readers to laugh at. The Senate candidate at the event (Republican Michael Brouchard) was standing feet away, witnessed the event, and did nothing to stop the harassment.
This week's little known fact is about terrorism. Did you know that the largest terrorist organization ever was a Christian-American group?
The title kind of says it all. Hudson is a Republican running for the US House of Representatives (Katherine Harris' old seat, if you know who she is).
ABC News reports that the Pentagon has ordered hundreds of Americans who had already served their 1-year tour of duty, back to Iraq to serve for several more months because the situation in Baghdad and several other parts of the country has gotten much worse. Many of the soldiers had just gotten home and were celebrating with their families, when they were ordered back into the middle of the bloody civil war that rages on. Others had not even made it home yet, and were on the way home when they were ordered to turn around.
Ben (co-founder of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream) explains how 17 billion dollars of American's tax money could be spent on actually helping Americans, instead of being wasted. The United States has more than enough nuclear warheads to plunge the entire earth into nuclear winter more than 100 times over, do we really need this many? Ben thinks we should reduce our nuclear arsenal (while keeping some warheads to act as a deterent), and instead use the money we save to provide health care and better education for American kids.
Every single example of Congress screwing over the middle class mentioned in this CNN report was supported by Republicans and opposed by Democrats. Democrats opposed the Republican cuts in student loans, Democrats opposed Republican trade regulations that are bad for American workers, Democrats opposed the harmful Republican bankruptcy bill, and opposed the Republican's fake minimum wage bill. Democrats want a real minimum wage increase with no strings attached to benefit super-rich people like Paris Hilton. Oh and the "Cheeseburger bill" was also opposed by Democrats, as was the Terri Shaivo debacle, and the Congressional pay raise too. All of these things were made up by Republicans and all of them were opposed by Democrats. Republican-controlled Congress has only a 25% approval rating and they've done enough damage to America: it's time for change this November.
